Identification can take longer for worn, unusual, or less common coins. Try again — if it keeps timing out on the same coin, a clearer, well-lit, in-focus photo of just the coin (no background clutter) usually helps.
Coin Scanner AI is an AI estimate, not a certified identification — it can misread worn details, mint marks, or unusual/foreign coins it has less reference material for. A sharper photo of the coin's face, straight-on and well lit, is the biggest thing you can do to improve accuracy.
Open Settings (gear icon on the Home screen) and choose your language. Already-saved results keep the language they were identified in; new scans follow your new choice.
